State-wise Rice Productivity Analysis

State : Goa

Rice cultivation in Goa is confined in two districts only on small hectarage. These two districts are falling under high productivity group i.e., yield more than 2,500 kg/ha. Triennium average area of high productivity group was 0.57 lakh hectares and production was 1.44 lakh tonnes. Triennium average productivity of rice under high productivity group comprising of two districts was 2,542 kg/ha, which was more than 1,947 kg/ha of average national productivity.

Area, production and productivity of rice under high productivity group in Goa during triennium ending 2000-2001 are given in Table-5.
